What you can measure
Campaigns are measured against real outcomes: online orders, in-store sales, and store visits. Which results you see depends on which systems are connected. Your representative will walk you through the reporting after launch.
Results by connection
| Result | What it tells you | What makes it possible |
|---|---|---|
| Engagement | Impressions, clicks, and click-through rate for your ads. | Available for every campaign. |
| Store visits | Shoppers who saw an ad and then visited a participating store. | Available for every campaign with store locations. |
| Online orders and revenue | Purchases on your website or apps after ad exposure, and the share of your online sales linked to Surfside. | Website and apps connection |
| In-store sales | Purchases at your stores linked to campaign exposure. | Point of sale connection |
| Audience reach | How many of your existing customers or loyalty members the campaign reached. | CRM or loyalty connection |
| Onsite ad performance | Impressions, clicks, and engagement for sponsored products and onsite ads on your own channels. | Surfside Ads |
How attribution works
Surfside credits a visit or order to a campaign when it happens within a set window after a shopper sees or clicks an ad. The standard view-through window is 14 days. The Measurement overview explains the attribution models we use, and Platform definitions defines each metric and how it’s calculated.
Reading the reports
- Benchmarking engagement explains what typical click-through rates look like and why engagement matters.
- Visitation metrics and In-store attribution explain how store visits are measured and reported by location.
Your representative reviews results with you after launch and on an ongoing basis.
